Indian Star Restaurant in Kaufbeuren

Indian Star is only average in view of the competition in the area that has finally returned. Per: + Basically, sauces are okay and have a good taste + good portions when ordering + Price comparatively cheap Cons: - Meat partly very tough and dry. No sign of absolute freshness. The effect has increased since the corona pandemic and the catering industry was closed. Usually The meat from 10 orders was okay. - very long delivery time. The supplier needed 1.75 hours (300 meters straight line, 2 streets). After several phone calls, the curious thing: the driver sat in the car for 45 minutes in front of my front door. Why neither we nor his boss know. The cook came to our front door wearing an apron after 1.75 hours and delivered the now ice-cold food from his hands. Accordingly, the contents of the goods were simply cold. No sorry, no replacement goods, no money back. That will not do! This is not how hospitable Indians treat their customers. Long delivery times occurred several times. I'm not someone who says something at 1 hour, circumstances happen to everyone, but 1.5 to 2 hours recurring? Conclusion: there will be no more 11 orders because the quality and scope of delivery decrease and in my view no longer justify the price.

Very good food, absolutely nothing to complain about here. Unfortunately, reorders (drinks) sometimes took 3 long attempts to get them. The restaurant is a bit “uncomfortably” bright. I think it would look a lot more pleasant with a bit of darkening and less bright lights. Basically, however, highly recommended!

Our native Indian in kf. Super tasty, freshly cooked (that's why it always takes a while) and the waiter super friendly. Have ordered now because my grandparents don't want to go to the restaurant in the current situation. Was on time and delicious as always. Recommended with.

Food was still not delivered after two hours of waiting and repeated calls (distance 200m as the crow flies), so we drove to the restaurant to get it. There we were insulted, yelled at and thrown out because we ordered on delivery and are also "impatient". There was only the choice between cold food that was eaten in front of our eyes, or NO money back. A cheek how we were treated. Never again.

First of all I would like to say that the food was good and so was the service. I really can't say anything negative about that. however, we did experience something that left us with a bitter aftertaste. A lady and a gentleman came into the restaurant who complained that they were waiting more than two hours for their food that they had ordered from Lieferando. They either wanted their food or their money back. Then the waiter said he sent out the food and if it doesn't arrive on time, it's deliverando's fault and not him. Guest and waiter yelled at each other so that the other guests got up and left in rows. It was very unprofessional and absolutely uncomfortable to sit there.

As always, everything was delicious and pleasant. The new rooms are now also very inviting and cozy.

The atmosphere is very good. The service was great and very accommodating. Toilets super clean. Not a problem even with nagging toddlers.

Somewhat unfortunate location in the middle of an "average" residential area. Very inconspicuous from the outside, at first you had the impression that it was permanently closed. Menu very varied, tea and especially food very tasty. Prices (considering the circumstances) just barely reasonable. Terrible establishment. Farm furniture from the last millennium, apparently that used to be an Allgäu country inn from which the typical Indian furniture was taken. Farm chairs and cupboards from the 70s. Moving soon, according to staff. Certainly a good idea. I wish the operator every success. Chef served in sweatpants, maybe you should explain to him why you don't. Very annoying, as others write: swaths of fat and the smell of fat drift through the restaurant, the clothes tell where you've been. Since there was also a lot of noise from the kitchen (that's not the case elsewhere): maybe just close the door! Overall condition currently (2/2020) fairly rocked, windows dirty. Three stars actually only with abdominal pain and after a long hesitation; since it is not just about the food, two would certainly be acceptable

Service was great! Food was GOOD, waiting times were reasonable, but it is pointed out in the menu that it could take a little longer due to fresh ingredients and preparation! Big criterion! Clothing then smells extremely like a deep fryer!

The food was great! Almost as in India? Man can actually decorate the restaurant bissal, looks old ... But we were mainly there for the food and were very satisfied .. Service can go faster!

Yummmmy ? and delicious food. This place is a saviour for vegetarians in kaufbeuren and nearby cities. Although they have a wide variety of non-veg options. Please try there special Rogan Josh. Everyone loves the food here. Not only Indians but people here in Germany and our colleagues from UK are fond of the delicious and spicy ? Indian cuisine served here. The way they greet and interact with customers, it feels like home. Sukhbir ji and Bhatt ji are great host. We used to visit almost every week here??

In my opinion, a real insider tip. If you want to try something different than schnitzel and co, this is the place for you. Great selection of delicious Indian dishes, the prices are reasonable. What I really like is that you can eat here in peace. Where else do you have to "scream" because of the high volume almost to be able to talk normally. This is not the case in this restaurant.

Very fine and good Indian food the food tastes intense and satisfies well. However, it makes you want more. Price wise you can not say anything they do their job really great.

Had lunch with 4 other friends on 14th July. Our friend who took us here called it the best Indian restaurant in Germany, which in the end I agree with! The food tastes exactly like any good North Indian restaurant in India. The naans were incredibly soft, the gravies authentic and the hospitality, unforgettable. To top it all, we were served complimentary Gaajar Ka Halwa, which was as good as home made!

I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant with a couple of friends. It is hands down the best Indian food I have had in Europe. The staff is very courteous and paid a lot of and attention to detail. To finish of our amazing lunch we were served with complimentary gajar halwa which took us back to India. I would highly recommend this place. :)

I visited Indian Star restaurant couple of times in the last few weeks and found the quality of food and service excellent. Better than even what I usually get back in India. The restaurant owner is Sukhbir is a hands on and really passionate about satisfying his customers. I would strongly recommend Indian Star to all folks who are interested in some genuine North Indian food and delicacies.

Best authentic Indian food in possibly all of Europe. Can quite possibly win even when compared to best restaurants in India.

I have been to Indian Star twice, and the experience was pleasant, both the times. The restaurant is big and spacious. Staff is friendly. I ordered Vegetarian Thali. Food was very tasty. Quantity & quality of the food is good. It was made extra spicy as per our request. Would definitely recommend to anyone in and around Kaufbeuren.

Nice visit

I've been waiting for my food for an hour. If I hadn't been in the group, I would have gone. After 1.5 hours the food finally came, but unfortunately cold. ?? The ordered food should be enough for 2 people, not even enough for me. Then I went to eat a kebab. Was really delicious, the kebap ?
